“A hand up, not a hand out”

St. John’s Crisis Centre is a not-for-profit incorporated charity located on Australia’s Gold Coast in Queensland.  We help people facing all kinds of hardship and from all walks of life, judgement free.

As a volunteer organisation, the St John’s relies on the generosity and support of the local community to replenish our food, clothing, toiletries, blankets and linen, utensils, and other items as needed.

If you wish to support us, please use the donate button at the top of this page.  You can find out more about our programs and what we do on Our Programs page.

Previously, St. John’s Crisis Centre was known by many names; the Crisis Centre, Surfers Paradise Anglican Crisis Centre, SPACC, St. John’s Crisis Centre, and often just St. John’s.  As most of our clients and volunteers know us as St. John’s Crisis Centre, we made this our ‘official’ online name too.

Can anyone visit St. John's Crisis Centre to see its operation?

Visitors are welcomed at the Centre.  However, during COVID-19 we ask that you contact the Centre to arrange a conducted tour.
