We offer a safe environment in which clients can access various organisations for help. We have the HHOT Team (Homeless Health Outreach Team), Centrelink, Gold Coast Homeless Hub, Gold Coast Youth Service, Orange Sky, Uniting Care Community – Financial Counsellor, Hair Dressers, Podiatrist, Dental Appointments and Narcotics Anonymous who meet 3 times a week on our premises.
Our Welfare Office is open Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 11.00am.
We assist people in emergency or crisis situations.
We can provide emergency relief, clothing, food and basic household items, as well as a caring ear to talk to without judgement. In extreme hardship we provide limited contribution towards school costs, and Queensland Birth Certificates, and cheques are made out to companies or schools only.
Clients need to bring a Centrelink or Health Care card to be assisted.
The Hancock Homes are funded by the Queensland Government and have been in operation since 1989.
These two homes provide supported accommodation, for up to 8 single homeless men.
