A PURRfect day for chilling with our fur mates
St John’s Pet Support Day 15 February 2021
In conjunction with the Animal Welfare League, St John’s held a ‘Pet Support Day’ on Monday, 15 February 2021 and invited anyone with a pet to attend. It was a resounding success with pets and their human friends well looked after by the St John’s volunteers and the wonderful Animal Welfare League team.
Billie-Rose Harvey, Community Program Manager from Animal Welfare League said ‘During this event, the vets completed 44 animal consultations and vaccinations. In addition, 23 vet consultation vouchers were provided so animals can visit a community vet clinic at no cost and a further 15 desexing vouchers were issued to provide desexing at no cost. We were also able to give attendees essential pet items such as food, bowls, bedding leads, collars, and toys.’
St John’s provides a variety of services, including over 300 meals per week, food vouchers, health care checks, bedding, and clothing as well as the Pet Support Day. St John’s is always looking for volunteers and sponsors to assist. If you’d like to volunteer, please submit your interest using our web form.
